Earth Day Live Raptor Program
  • This event has passed.

Fly into the Audubon State Park Museum for an educational experience with live raptors! Volunteer wildlife rehabilitators of The Talon Trust, a local raptor rescue organization, will share stories of raptors that have been rescued and released back to the wild, as well as introduce you to some of our resident living, breathing, wicked-cool raptors. This family-fun program is just one of many hosted by Audubon State Park and the Ohio Valley Birding Festival on Earth Day (April 22) weekend.

The Talon Trust is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization, and operates solely on donations, grants, and program fees to fund daily care and safe enclosures for injured birds of prey. You can support our cause by donating, or bidding in our silent auction fundraiser in conjunction with the program. It will launch on Facebook with items pictured on April 15, to culminate with items on display at the Audubon State Park museum on April 22 until 5pm. Just comment your bid amount on the item’s photo on Facebook anytime or bid in person at the museum on April 22nd. Online bids will be accepted on the 22nd as well, and we will be updating online and on paper during the day of the event. All items must be picked up at the Audubon State Park museum on Sunday April 23. Bid to show your support for wildlife conservation and these birds in need!
