Celebrate Earth Day with feathered friends and help wildlife in need! Join The Talon Trust for a live raptor program & silent auction fundraiser – just one of many activities hosted by the Audubon State Park and the Ohio Valley Birding Festival.
The Talon Trust is a local raptor rescue and rehabilitation organization that also provides educational experiences for the public. A not-for-profit 501c3 organization, we operate solely on donations, grants, and program fees to fund daily care and safe enclosures for injured birds of prey.
A silent auction featuring locally donated and handcrafted items will be conducted to raise funds for this cause. It will launch online on our Facebook page with items pictured on April 15, to culminate with items on display at the Audubon State Park museum on April 22 from 9am-5pm. Items must be picked up at the museum on Sunday April 23 between 12-5pm. Online bids will still be accepted on on April 22nd. To bid online just comment your bid amount on the item’s photo in the Facebook album. We will keep the latest bid amounts updated both online and on paper at the musem during the event. Show your support for wildife conservation and our local rescue efforts by donating or bidding in the auction! All funds raised will go towards caring for injured birds!
And while you are perusing the auction items at the museum on April 22, don’t miss our free, family-friendly program experience featuring live raptors from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. Volunteer wildlife rehabilitators will share stories of raptors that have been rescued and released back to the wild, as well as introduce you to living, breathing, wicked-cool raptors that are dependent on our care for the rest of their lives.
